Our adapter has WiFi and Bluetooth hardware. It connects with Bluetooth and sends the WiFi credentials to the phone, then disconnects from the Bluetooth network. It works solely on WiFi from that point on.
1. Plug the iPhone (running IOS 10 or newer) directly into the car via a USB cable and check whether Carplay is displayed on the car screen.

Version Carlinkit 2.0 is with 5.8G HZ certification module, has higher adaptability for 98% of vehicle models.
Carlinkit 3.0 is just the code name of a software update version.
Currently, Carlinkit 2.0 and Carlinkit 3.0 are the same. It only supports iPhone for Carplay.
Carlinkit 4.0 is an upgraded version of Carlinkit 3.0. It is compatible with both iPhone and Android smartphones.

Version 2.0 is with indicator light design, which 1.0 does not.
The cables and adapters of version 2.0 are detachable, while version 1.0 is integrated and undetachable.
Carlinkit 3.0 is available in black and white. Carlinkit 4.0 is navy blue.
Carlinkit2.0/ 3.0 works on all iPhone 6 and above, IOS 10 and above version.
Carlinkit 4.0 is compatible with both iPhone (iPhone 6 and above, IOS 10 and above version) and Android smartphones (Android 9.0 and above, some require Android 11.0 and above version, e.g. Huawei).
You can use either phone, but if both phones are in the car, Carlinkit will automatically connect to the last paired phone. If you wish to switch to another phone while Carlinkit is already connected, you can delete the connection record and re-pair the connection.
Yes. Once you've set it up, your phone will automatically pair with Carlinkit as soon as you start the car each time.
The battery consumption rate of the phone does not seem to be faster than usual. When your car is turned off, you will notice the device indicator light turning off, and it's almost certain that it won't drain the car battery. If you see the indicator light still on after your car is turned off, there's no need to worry. Our device is low-power, and there might be some residual current, but it will turn off after a short while.
Yes, when using our Carlinkit wireless Carplay adapter, the operating system functions the same as the original car, and all buttons, including Siri, can be used as usual.
You can use wireless connect through wifi or use wired connect by cable option.
This is a problem with communication protocol. BMW's head unit system is not unified with other car's head unit systems, so there is no way to be compatible. All BMW's wireless converters are always separate, and they are not suitable for adapters of other models.
