If the device cannot be connected or recognized, you can use the USB Flash drive to upgrade the firmware. Of course, to avoid malfunctions, it is will be better youupgrade the dongle firmware online. Otherwise, the equipment is likely to become useless. This upgrade method is different from the past, you need to pay 100 % attention to following our upgrade steps, otherwise, the dongle will be dead.
(Very Important note: Do not attempt to connect the adapter to your computer or laptop USB ports. These ports are made to transfer data and will just interrupt the update process and break the device.)
Preparation materials: the dongle, power adapter, USB flash drive.
Steps of how to upgrade the firmware by USB flash drive:
1. Prepare a 32G or less USB Flash Drive, and right-click on the USB Flash Drive, formatted as FAT32 format (4/8/16/32GB).
2. The img format firmware into the USB Flash Drive (firmware name can not be modified, keep the name in the zip package) (If you bought the device from carlinkitcarplay.com, you can get the file by sending us an email)
3. Connect the Carlinkit Dongle (U2W/ U2W Plus) to a USB wall power outlet/ charger. Wait for the solid Red light. Please don’t use the USB port of the car or computer!!
4. Insert the USB flash drive into the Carlinkit Dongle and upgrade with red and green lights flashing, do not power off, wait until the bright red light or blue light is on, and then wait 4 minutes to unplug. (If the USB flash drive meets the size and format, but the LED does not appear flashing phenomenon, please replace a USB flash drive)
5. Plug the dongle into the USB port of the car once the head unit is fully booted.

i purchased a few months ago carlinkkit CPC200-U2W plus. after a few weeks the device only lights red and is no longer detecting the phone neither the car detects the dongle.
i have tried to update with USB offline as per instructions , but device does not update. the led does not blink green and red . neither the USB is flashing. so it is not running. i have tried different USB stick. all new formated. but does not work. i have tried via ALIEXPRESS to replace but cost me more to return than the device itself

I brought a CPC200-U2W Plus. However, I only work and connect to my iPhone and Benz AMG A45 for the first time and kept connected about 30 second. Then, the connection drop and the device restart itself and try to reconnect continuously. Failed to keep a stable bluebooth connection and failed to properly work. Hi, I just bught dongle for android headunit with wireless carplay and wireless Android Auto. Wireless Carplay works flawlessly, its great. Wireless Android Auto only problem is that music skips a lot (i use a Pixel 6). Should I try upgrading firmware? Or what else can I do?

Hi there the dongle (3.0) is working with my 2018 Audi RS3 but it is not working with my 2018 GTR. In the GTR the screen states starting apple car play. It then states please plug in a compatible apple car play device.
Would a firmware update fix my issue on the GTR or is the compatibility list maybe wrong and it is not compatible?

Recently, i have just online updated to the latest firmware (2022.01.24.1903). After update, the connection screen turned from Blue Ui to small ugly Red UI.

Hola, compré carlinkit 2.0 para utilizarlo en mi moto ya que en vuestra página oficial pone que es compatible con Honda africa twin 1100. Sería necesario que vuestros ingenieros desarrollen una actualización de firmware optimizada para Honda Africa Twin 1100 ya que no puedo utilizar Carlinkit. Cuando utilizo el aparato en la moto parece que conecta bien, pero si me salgo de la pantalla de CarPlay a la pantalla del velocímetro de Honda, luego no es capaz de reconocer el dongle carlinkit para volver a la pantalla de CarPlay. Además cuando consigo entrar en la pantalla de CarPlay a los pocos minutos los botones ya no responden y no puedo ejecutar ninguna acción. Me gasté más de 100 euros en este aparato porque en la pagina oficial aparece que mi moto es compatible. Es un problema generalizado para todos los usuarios de Honda Africa Twin, por favor tomen una solución.

My ISP is Vodafone Egypt, and I think that this network is forbidden.

i purchased a carlinkit 3 adapter via Amazon in September ‘21. since a few days i can’t connect wirelessly to the adapter anymore. Also the delay between voice and video was too big. The LED in the Adapter is solid red. The Radiodisplay shows a connected carlinkit-adapter with a message to connect the phone via usb or bluetooth. USB-connection AppleCarPlay works. Phone has iOS 15.2.1. Should i do a firmware upgrade?

Je rencontre un problème avec mon dongle en connection sans fil , avec le sons sur « la machine» j’ai un décalage au niveau de la musique ainsi que de la réactivité des commande si j’appuie sur pose pour arrêter la musique le dongle met 2 secondes avant d’arrêter le sons …
Hors si je choisie l’option sons en Bluetooth.. la réactivité est instantanée est ce normale ?
This comes with a little how-to booklet, but all I had to do was connect the Bluetooth once and that was it. It works just staying plugged in and closed inside my center console. When I get in the car it takes maybe a minute to connect, but I don't have to do anything at all. Awesome product! Wish I'd found it a while ago, it seems like cables stop working for Android Auto really often so, solved!
Initially i was a bit hesitant in order this product due to hybrid reviews on multiple Platforms and finally thought of giving it a try. I ordered it from directly carlinkitstore and costed me 4500/- INR which is much lower than amazon and flipkart price. The only drawback to order from the direct store is the delivery time. It takes almost 20 days for the delivery in India. But all the wait was worth it.
I am using this device in my Hyundai i20 2019 model and it is working smoothly. I am using it since a month and no problems faced till now. Overall i find it perfectly working and highly recommending to others as well.
