Tips:
1.If your car does not have CarPlay, this dongle may not be suitable for your vehicle. At the same time, your vehicle must have a female USB-A port (not a USB port converted from a cigarette lighter). If your car supports wired CarPlay and with a standard USB port, then you can use it to upgrade your vehicle to wireless CarPlay.

If your models are in the list below, then the unit works with this model. If not, make sure that two points, then the unit supports your model.
1.There's already wired Apple Carplay installed from the factory or upgraded through your dealer and you're getting its functions.
2.There is a USB port in your car model. The cable which comes with the dongle is default USB-C to USB-A port.
If your vehicle models has only USB-C port, you can purchase the factory additional cablewhich is with USB-C to USB-C port to support your car for connection.

Easy install, works great on my 2019 hybrid Camry
I don’t know anything about cars or electronics so I was a bit worried but it literally took maybe 3 min to install. Hardest part was realizing it only works on the USB outlet by the dash, and not in any USB in the car. Once I realized that, it just took plugging in and the car found the Bluetooth and connected to my iPhone. I wish the cord is just an inch longer so I can store inside the phone charger compartment. It’s nice not have to connect the phone every time you get in the car just to see the map, etc.

As far as the dongle providing wireless hook-up, it does that very well. Every time I start the engine it hooks up CarPlay. The only thing it doesn’t do is it no longer downloads local radio station apps. There apparently is too much lage time and the App times out every time and will not load. This function worked fine when wired.
