Only 7 Steps to Upgrade Wireless Adapter for Cars Built-in Wired CarPlay
If I have a Carlinkit 2.0 dongle(U2W Plus), then how can I upgrade online? Only 5 steps to upgrade wireless adapter.  (Attaching Video in the bottom provides more details.)
If you have the issues when you use the dongle, you can upload the logs in the web page 192.168.50.2.  

When the Wireless carplay works normally, don't upgrade! If you can't upgrade online, you can upgrade the firmware by USB flash drive.

It is easy to follow 5 steps to upgrade the system of wireless adapter. 

During the update process, do not operate any buttons or touch the screen. Do not move the product or power it off. You will have to return it for exchange if it stopped working, so when you are updating it, please do follow the instructions strictly.

Before your upgrade, you should know that:

  • The upgrade system is only applicable to buyers who have problems using CarPlay.
  • Dongles which work perfectly on the car are not recommended to upgrade, the original version is the best for your car.

2.Turn on the iPhone's WiFi, click the wifi name of the product,enter the password 12345678 to connect.

3.Enter 192.168.50.2 on the phone's Safari browser to view the version upgrade page.

 UPLOAD LOGS

1.If you encounter product using problems, you can click the button in the lower right corner and select the upload log function.

6.If you encounter product use problems, you can click the button in the lower right corner and select the upload log function.

2.Fill the form with your car model year and specific questions in details.

7.Fill in your car model year and specific questions.

3.After you fill in the form in the web page, you'd better make a screenshot of the interface. Then send the pic of screenshot to our SUPPORT TEAM. If there is the solution for your vehicle, our engineers may provide the firmware beta version to you.

If you can't get the screen in 192.168.50.2 any more, please leave the messages in the blog directly. We will help to send them to our technology department.

    Cpc200 plus initially worked fine. After a while sim card recognised, APN set right, but no networks detected. Factory reset, still the same. Sim card works well in phone. Send log not working.

    we just bought carlink 4.0….the delay is terrible, especially on maps after 5-10mins of using most of the times our screen freeze and does not respond…by the way we’re using it on ford ecosport 2019 with sync 3.0 system….device is very hot.

    Hello, this is the 3rd model I have purchased of yours, and none of them work correctly. It connects OK, and aside from crashing or Google maps/Waze losing location every time I use ANY other app on my phone (to send a text, for example), everything seems to work ok. Not perfect, but OK. My main issue is with Google voice. Sometimes, the button to activate Google assistant doesn’t work at all. Also, Google assistant sometimes hangs up, like it continues to think but nothing ever happens until I back out of it to cancel. Other times, it works, but it misinterprets what I say, really REALLY badly. I can say “take me home” and it will type “Walmart closes today at 9pm”, or something equally incorrect. And it doesn’t matter if I use “hey Google” to activate it, or if I press the microphone button on the car screen (inside your app software, or inside of Google maps, or waze), or if I press my car’s physical button on steering wheel… It definitely lags way more using the cars physical button (IF the button works at all!). I have ZERO problems with android auto or Google assistant when using a wired USB connection, so I know it’s not my phone or my car.

    I wanted to try and adjust the voice delay, or a firmware upgrade, as described on your website, but I have NEVER been able to log into 192.168.50.2!

    I am about to return this for the 3rd time. I tried the cp200, and this is the 2nd mini tbox v3 I have tried, I was hoping maybe I just had a faulty device, but I have had the same issues with all of your devices, unfortunately. I would really like to keep one, but I just can’t make it work and it’s becoming a hassle.

    Stopped working in my 2019 Volvo XC60. Worked great a few months now nothing. I tried to update firmware and it appeared to successfully update but still won’t work. When I plug in the dongle the light is read and the stereo doesn’t even recognize a device is plugged in.

    Hello,

    I just upgraded my carlinkit to the lastest update and my iPhone can no longer connect via Bluetooth, it tries to connect but fails to… i imagine that’s why I can’t longer log into the 192.168.50.2 either. How can I fix the problem?

    Hello. I have a Mercedes 2020 glc 300 with factory CarPlay. The Carlin kit has gone through two upgrades but now is just a red light and no screen is popping up on my interface. Please help

    I plug into the usb that works with my factory CarPlay and nothing happens. My cars display does not change and I don’t see any new Bluetooth or WiFi signals. The carliknit 2.0 slowly flashes red. I am unable to do any updating because the IP address that is given to type into your browser does not return any results. I have a 2020 Chevrolet 1500 with factory CarPlay. I have tried disconnecting from my home WiFi and turning off both WiFi and Bluetooth and searching for any new signals and there is none.

    Hi Alex,

    1. Please change another USB cable to see if the car’s display changes.
    2. Please plug the dongle into the wall charger, once the red light is on, connect the dongle’s wifi with your phone, then input 192.168.50.2 in your phone browser to log in to the backend.
    3. If you need an update, you can also contact our email address(support@carlinkitcarplay.com) to get the latest FW

    Need firmware file to update my new

    CarlinKit
    CPC-200-U2w plus

    Cause I can’t set it up with my Command 5.1 Gelandewagen!

    I connect Dongle to car USB,
    It starts launching AppleCarplayDevice,
    Than starts to search phones
    Than I pair it with my iphone 12promax,
    It shows PAIRED,
    But than dongle disconnects and starts to connect again, and again, and again… and no result…

    How can you download an upgrade if your iphone wifi is connected to the dongle’s wifi. You have to be connected to internet wifi. Does not work using these steps.

    It works almost fine with my Toyota Sienna 2021. But some times the volume control stops working. Like when music is playing, I can’t change volume up or down using hardware knob in the car, not using the volume up/down buttons on the phone. I have to turn off car and then turn it back on to make it working again. But then it happens again after some time

    I have Carlin Kit CPC 200 U2W Plus connectet with MMI Audi A4 2017. I did. the Update. But the fault is, allways the Adapter make a restart. Screen is black. Navigation wir Google Map is strong delayed, you see was 5 minits is earler, so ist is not usefull. With cable CarPlay is perfect. Wath can I Do? Thanks.

    Please plug the dongle into the wall charger or plug it in to the car, once the red light is on, connect the dongle’s wifi with your phone , then input 192.168.50.2 in your phone browser to log in the backend. ! Then click update.
    If you still cannot update online, please contact us via email, we can send you a firmware to update by U stick.

    My carlinkit CPC200-U2W Plus worked well initially. Now it is no longer connecting automatically. Have tried troubleshooting,even running updates. I was able to update but I get to a screen that does not have the link to the form. Displays QR code with wifi and passcode that says need to complete installation. Please advise at your earliest convenience.
