The U2W Plus dongle is a wireless carplay adapter that allows you to use CarPlay in your car without any cords or cables. It's perfect for almost all wired CarPlay-enabled vehicles and receivers, which covers around 98% of all current models. If you have an iPhone and your car has a wired CarPlay system or an Aftermarket Head-Unit (such as Alpine, Pioneer, Kenwood, etc.), then the Carlinkit 3.0 is the right choice for you. For those who use both an iPhone and Android Phones, the Carlinkit 4.0 is the best option. It's the first wireless dongle of its kind, using both Bluetooth and WiFi to connect your device to your car. With the latest 4.0 update, the Carlinkit has set the market standard for stability, compatibility, and performance, making it the most reliable choice on the market.
If you use Carplay and Android Auto in the Aftermarket Android Head Unit, You can choose 👉Carlinkit Autokit(CCPA). It's specially made for Android head units, which is suitable for model system versions above Android 4.4+.
Features:
✅ Convert Your Wired Carplay/ Android Auto to Wireless!
For your daily commutes, which usually last about ten minutes, it's unnecessary to constantly deal with the hassle of plugging in your device. With our top-of-the-line Carlinkit 3.0/4.0 U2W dongle, you can easily transform your wired CarPlay/Android Auto into a wireless system that operates via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. This means you can enjoy a completely wireless driving experience without the need to plug in your device each time. Simply keep it in your pocket and go, or leave it in your bag without having to fish it out each time you need to use it.
✅ Connect Automatically and Flawlessly!
All you need to do to get started with the Carlinkit 3.0/4.0 wireless carplay adapter is to turn on your vehicle, and it will automatically connect. The initial setup is a breeze - simply plug in the adapter and select it from your iPhone's Bluetooth settings. Once you've made this connection, the adapter will automatically and seamlessly connect to your phone every time you start your car, as long as your iPhone is in the vehicle. No more fussing with cords or manually connecting your device - just effortless wireless connectivity every time you hit the road.
✅ Plug and Play
In most CarPlay-enabled vehicles and aftermarket installations, you'll find a USB-A port available, which is where you can connect the Carlinkit Dongle using the USB-A end of the cable. This allows the Dongle to connect to your car's "Apple CarPlay" USB socket and enable CarPlay functionality. Although the Carlinkit Dongle comes with a USB-C female port, it is not typically used in this context.
✅ Wireless Capability
Previously, you had to keep your phone wired to use CarPlay all the time, Carlinkit 3.0/ 4.0 wireless carplay adapter now solves this problem.
✅Brand new Carbon fiber shell.
The Carlinkit 3.0/4.0 wireless adapter now comes with a new carbon fiber material that is scratch-resistant and anti-fingerprint. With this upgrade, you won't have to worry about your dongle falling off and getting scratched if you hit a bump while driving. This feature makes the device more durable and reliable, giving you a long-lasting driving companion at an affordable price.
✅ Small, Compact, and Unobtrusive.
Just fit inside the center console vertically or fix it with velcro in the glove box, then forget about it, it takes almost no space at all.
✅ Your Plan B
If your lightning cable goes bad, that means no CarPlay. Consider the Carlinkit wireless adapter as your plan A, and wired CarPlay as plan B, allowing you convenience in any situation.
✅ Support connecting Multiple Phones to the Carlinkit 4.0 Adapter.
The Carlinkit 4.0 adapter is designed to connect to only one phone at a time. But you can pair multiple phones with the wireless adapter, and switch between them as needed. When you want to switch to a different phone, you can disconnect the currently connected phone from the adapter, and then connect the new phone to the wireless carplay adapter.

Tips:
Before purchasing this carlinkit 3.0/ 4.0 dongle, please ensure that your vehicle is compatible with it. Your car must have a female USB-A port (not a USB port converted from a cigarette lighter) and support wired CarPlay. This dongle is not suitable for aftermarket Android car stereos.
Only vehicles that come with wired CarPlay can use this dongle to upgrade to wireless CarPlay. Carlinkit 3.0 is compatible with all iPhone models from the iPhone 6 and above running iOS 10 or above. Carlinkit 4.0 works with both iPhones (iPhone 6 and above, iOS 10 or above) and Android smartphones (Android 9.0 or above, some require Android 11.0 or above, such as Huawei).
Please refer to the list of supported models provided at the end of this paragraph before purchasing. If you have any questions about compatibility, please refer to the FAQ list first. For firmware upgrades, please follow the instructions carefully. The Carlinkit 3.0/4.0 has a user-friendly interface available in 13 languages, including Portuguese, French, German, Hebrew, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and English.
If your car has both factory-wired Carplay and Android Auto, and you want to use wireless Android Auto, it is recommended you choose Carlinkit A2A or Carlinkit 5.0.
If your car model is listed below, the unit is compatible with your vehicle. However, if your model is not listed, please ensure that your vehicle meets the following requirements to use the unit:
Your car already has wired Apple CarPlay installed either from the factory or upgraded through your dealer, and you are using its functions.
Your car model has a USB port, and the cable that comes with the dongle is equipped with a default USB-C to USB-A port.
If your vehicle only has a USB-C port, you can purchase an additional USB-C to USB-C cable from the factory to support the connection with your car.
If you are unsure about the compatibility of your vehicle, please contact us to avoid any issues.
Please note that the product supports 98% of models with wired Apple CarPlay and USB ports, but not all models. We are constantly testing more models and collecting customer feedback to improve the list of supported models. We appreciate your feedback about your model, thank you!

More vehicle brands and models are still being collected.
It’s always convenient to stay in your own ecosystem, same phone, same car, same cable without any change. But as you start sharing your car with your family and that family insists on sticking to iPhones, things change fast.
I’m the only one that uses Android in my house, and that wasn’t an issue until I moved back home and got married. My Polo is now being used by my wife and my dad as well, so we were constantly changing the USB cable on it to connect different phones. Add to it, the smaller distances and trip times in Ludhiana now (compared to Delhi earlier), and plugging in every time seemed like an unnecessary step. So I looked into solutions and while I could find a good number of options for Wired to Wireless conversion adapters for Carplay, and also for Android Auto; there were almost none that did both with the same device.
The search ended with Carlinkit 4.0. Once you connect the device, you are greeted with a login screen and you have to connect the Bluetooth from your phone to this device, after that just follow the prompts on your phone and voila, you are connected!
That was as expected but what I really wanted to see is how it worked with multiple phones previously paired, and to my surprise, it works perfectly. It starts off and gives a list of previous phones and you can choose from those. It then tries to connect and if the Bluetooth and wifi of that phone is active, it will start it off.
One tip to note is that it takes almost a minute for it to boot up from cold, so you can connect the phone only after that. Luckily in Polo, the USB port of the Headunit powers on right after the car is unlocked from the key, so by the time I reach the car, adjust my seats and mirrors, it has finished booting up. So I try to unlock the car a few seconds in advance to ensure this.
The Performance is Fine, it is just as responsive as using Native wired Carplay/Android Auto. And in fact, the connection is more stable and reliable than I have felt with factory Wireless Carplay in my X1. There is almost a 2-3 second lag between the audio sync as compared to the Wired connection. But I feel it's barely any worse than the factory Wireless solutions. Only time you’ll really complain is if you decide to play Video in Android Auto (through unofficial ways of course).
Another scenario where it can be useful is if your car has only wired CarPlay and you want to run Android Auto on it. Would have been perfect for my X1 but alas, BMW feels wired CarPlay is too old school.
The price is not low by any means but I have honestly run out of cool mods to do on my Polo, so this was a nice value add.

Still getting it setup correctly
It connected with no problem. The signal drops every once in a while. We have to wait a few seconds for it to reconnect. The help lines says I can fix it with a reset up type step. I need to take the time to do that.

Must have!
If you’re constantly in and out of the car and travel frequently, this is the solution. Takes a few to fire up, but so doesn’t the stock onboard Uconnect system.

Works Great!
I'm using it in a 2017 Audi Q7 and it works like a charm. Very clear and crisp with very little lag time on connection.

Great Blue Tooth Dongle
I purchased this for my 2018 Honda Gold Wing DCT Tour motorcycle. Now I can be wire-free when using Apple Car Play. Now I can keep my iPhone on my person instead of having to wire it to the Gold Wing, oftentimes exposed to the weather and damage due to vibrations to the iPhone. Even if I placed the iPhone into a covered pocket the Florida heat caused issues.
Thanks for providing a quality product and ease of Blue Tooth pairing without any hiccups! The unit seems to be very well made and I feel confident that it will have a long service life! Happy customer so far!

Carlink for my motorcycle
My carlink has arrived, however riding season has ended in my part of the country so I will have to wait until spring to try it out.

Consistent Connection.
After having lots of aggravation with my wired Carplay connection even recognizing my iphone, the Carlinkit solved it. Initialization was a little iffy until I watched a YouTube video. After the first link was made, I was surprised to see the initialization screen come on each time thereafter until the handshake completes after about 30-45sec. Minor aggravation to be sure for what appears to be a very simple and so far very reliable wireless connect for a reasonable price.
When I upgraded my phone to an iPhone 15 with USB-C I found myself with the dilemma of how to handle switching with my wife’s iPhone 13 with lightning. Then I found this. Great little device, simply plug it in to the car and pair with your phones’s bluetooth. Then when you start the car you get a display asking which phone to connect to (mine or my wife’s) and away you go. Very simple and just works.
It set up in no time. Used it first for iphone, and worked well, then replaced with an Android phone and that was easy as well. Would certainly recommend.

I wanted to get Sirius/XM and Google Maps through CarPlay to my Tesla Model Y and this did the trick... Though S/XM is frustrating in that the phone app allows you to select Favorite channels, but even with the app running in the phone, they don't appear on the Tesla screen. And there's no way to go directly to a channel or select a Favorite from the car screen. You can select a song but nothing ever shows up under Favorites. The web connection seems to randomly die, as well, like after a text, or something, but it's not that big a deal. Overall, it's great to have GMaps and S/XM, even if it's not perfect. Would buy this device again and have recommended it to others.
Just getting to grips with it as I've been waiting for the sim card. One tip, check the instructions as to which slot and orientation to insert a SIM because the symbols on the box are not useful and getting it out of the wrong slot is VERY hard. Plugged it into my EV6 and it worked flawlessly turning the screen into a tablet so I can watch TV and films when I'm waiting for ferries, run CarScanner without needing a second phone and run Android apps that won't run on Android Auto, so it fulfils my brief 100%. Split screen mode is good but can be a bit quirky. Not quite used to not having an Android style escape button for apps but finding ways of quitiing apps, maybe there's a gesture I don't know. Switching back to the KIA system with the white button is easy and quick though which is more than I can say for Android Auto.
