(Autokit, Wireless Version for Wireless CarPlay) USAGE & UPGRADE Tutorial -for Carlinkit CPC200-Autokit Dongles for Aftermarket Android Head Unit

If I have a Carlinkit Dongle(Autokit, Wireless Version) which work with iphone, then how can I upgrade the dongle to use wireless CarPlay? (Attaching Video in the bottom provides more details.)

 

It is easy to follow 6 steps to use and upgrade the wireless CarPlay in Android Head Unit. Let's go!

1. View Android car version

  • On the car system, go to setting and check the system version.view Android car version -  1. On the car system, go to setting and check the system version.

2. Download the APP

3. Connect and pair

4. Use CarPlay

5. Screen Mirror

6. Online Upgrade

Please try to log in to the background and roll back the version to see if it can help you.
1. Please plug the dongle into the wall charger or plug it in to the car, once the red light is on, connect the dongle’s wifi with your phone , then input 192.168.50.2 in your phone browser to log in the backend.

Hello, there’s a major lag issue when I’m talking to someone on the phone. Communication is impossible as there’s at least a 5secs delay after talking. Can you remediate to this problem or provide a full refund as I’m dissatisfied with this product.

I purchased Carlinakit 3 on May 31,2022. For my 2017 Mercedes SL550 with built in factory CarPlay. It’s been set up, and has been working fine. Although lately it has gone haywire sometimes stops radio from working all together, other times i loose CarPlay! And need to turn off engine to reboot the system. The CarPlay dongle worked ok until now but suddenly stopped working after an update.
After the normal connection process, the screen goes gray instead of CarPlay.

My unit has stopped working.
When everything is connected the device powers up, but it no longer will allow the phone to connect to it. Also the android tablet will see it for 1 or 2 seconds and then says “Please Connect Product” on the autolink app.

Everything used to work fine, but now it looks like the device just keeps rebooting over and over, it is not longer functional.

Purchased this android-compatible unit after switching from iPhone to Samsung for use in a 2020 4 Runner. The startup is much slower than the iPhone version, and it only connects through CarPlay not Android Auto. If I turn off CarPlay on the head unit and leave Android Auto turned on, the unit will not connect.

The model of my dongle is CPC200-AutoKit • PRO

I purchased this through Amazon a few years ago.

Again, it always worked flawless.

Here is the strange part. The iDrive controller of my BMW works just fine inside the Android screen base system. it scrolls left, right when I turn the wheel, it goes up, down, left, right when I move the controller like a joystick, and when I push the controller it selects (click).

However, after the latest update The controls still work in the Android system itself, but as soon as I switch into the AutoKit app none of these controls work anymore. This is a problem and I need to get this fixed. I have sent several logs already via the app, but never heard back from anyone.

So then I thought maybe my dongle is faulty. So I ordered a new one from Amazon. I uninstalled the software from the android screen and just went trough the setup from scratch with the new dongle (actually I purchased 2 different dongles, one with the AutoKit software on board, and one where you have to download it).

Both times same result. I installed the software and launched it, and none of the iDrive controls work.

So I returned both of the dongles that I had purchased.

I think the issue lies in your latest Android AutoKit software update. For some odd reason it is not accepting the iDrive controller input anymore.

Can you help?

The current software version is: 2022.06.06.1740

The current hardware version is: 2022.04.25.1323

Android version: 8.1.0 (has been like that since I got it, and has never been updated).

Please note that I have a total of 2 android dongles (one for my BMW X3 and one for my BMW 650i, both outfitted with aftermarket Android screens). And I have 2 Dongles for Factory wired CarPlay for my Kenwood head units, and I have one of your boxes for my BMW i3 NBT. As you can see I am one of your good customers. I just want this all working again

Hi, I have just bougt Carkit T-box (factory carplay). When T-BOX stay connected to my head unit’s USB port, every time I start my car’s head unit, the T-box begins to open the car play aplication. To prevent this I have to disconnect the T-BOX or I have to off the wi-fi button on my phone. I do not want this and I only want T-BOX to run whenever I need it to run carplay as it always remains in plugged-in situation. Is there a setting for this, ie. automate or manual options.
