The setup of the Carlinkit 2air device is simple and easy. You can directly plug in a USB adapter to cars and trucks which can be used for wired Carplay or wired Android Auto. The difference between Carlinkit 2air and Carlinkit 4.0 (CPC200-CP2A):

Compared to the Carlinkit 4.0, the Carlinkit 2air adapter supports Carplay and Android Auto natively and Carlinkit 2air does not have to convert between Android Auto and CarPlay protocols, which enables faster connections and smoother navigation.

Tips:

1. Compatible with OEM wired CarPlay and wired Android Auto cars. Convert original car wired CarPlay to wireless CarPlay, and convert original car wired Android Auto to wireless Android Auto.

2. CarlinKit 5.0 does not support converting wired Android Auto to CarPlay, nor does it support converting wired CarPlay to Android Auto.

It works as expected, its very fast, works for carplay and android auto and connects in 1 seconds after car is turned on. Amazing, the best purchase for my car.

Carlinkit 2air: Setup within 2 minutes,

I own a Mazda MX5 ND2 (2019) which had Apple CarPlay but non wireless installed. I bought the 2air thanks to the great support I got from Carlinkit.
It is Plug & Play, my mother of 72 years can install the device, is is so easy. :) It boots up faster (ca 22 sec) into CarPlay then Mazda's wired version. I have had no issues with lagging or disconnecting. With my Mazda wired solution I often had CarPlay not connecting or connecting but lagging, had to turn off the car and try again and it might work. No issue with 2air.

Since I haven't tested this unit on other cars then my car I can't say how it will work for you. If it works on a Mazda MX5 ND2 it will work on all major brands. :)

I highly recommend this unit to other Mazda MX5 with CarPlay install.

2020 NX 300 Lexus and Carlink

I have a Lexus that came only with Apple Car Play. My husband owns an Android phone and it wasn't very pleasant for him not to be able to connect his Samsung to my car. But wow, I have wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The only issue I get is that on Android Auto, the Google Maps display area does not occupy the entire Lexus media display. it looks small and compressed. But finally, I have Android Auto on my Lexus. Thanks.

Great gadget for your car.

Works a treat. Little slower to initialise in the system than plug in cable but insignificant on any trip by time reversed out of garage it’s all done. And it’s sooooo much more convenient. I have already recommended to a friend. Easy to instal and I used double sided tape in roof of front console so wouldn’t even know it’s there.Great product.

Simple but magical little device for Apple Carplay

I have been having a wired CarPlay enable audio system in car and it comes with it own problem. You need to tether it and sometimes the quality of the wired cable determines the battery charging and all other stuffs. This is a simple and little device that connects to the existing system and enables wireless CarPlay within seconds. It works literally like a magic. I just keep the phone in my bag or pocket and it automatically connects. There is a minor (less than a second) lag but it is barely noticeable. I found this extremely helpful. Recommend this to anyone who has an old car and old audio system but wants the benefit of the latest phone audio tech.

Simple and Easy to use

I was getting super frustrated with my wire, adding to the fact that sync 3 is very sensitive to the type of cable you use for CarPlay, after I got this i was half half skeptical but it works like a charm slight delay but very minimal, now the only time it doesn’t work is when the ford sync 3 decides not to work for my drive so the car link eliminated my cable issue. Overall great
