I try on my Honda Goldwing airbag 2021 sometimes doesn’t always work the first time.
I have another one first generation carlikit i just give up .
I have tried different CarPlay dongles so far. and with my last one I was quite satisfied compared to the previous one I had tried. but this Carlinkit 5.0. is really so much better and more stable. Starts up well every time, and fast (no black screen or freezing), the adjustment options are very extensive and work perfectly. best dongle ever for my wireless CarPlay.
The Carlinkit 5.0 has been a great addition for wireless Android Auto Connection. My only complaint is that I have to unplug it when I'm home because of the close proximity to my house - otherwise it drains my phone battery

I received the Carlinkit in the mail and I was surprised at how small it was. Slightly longer than a credit card but about 2/3-3/4 as wide. They included double stick tape to aid in attaching the device to the car.
My wife owns a 2022 Hyundai Tucson Limited. It has CarPlay but you must connect via wires. Since I had a wireless CarPlay system installed in my vehicle, she mentioned she would like something similar in her car since it would eliminate all of the wiring mess.
As you can see in the two pictures, the unit fits very nicely along the side of the storage well in front of the transmission selector buttons. This leave room for gloves or whatever my wife choose to place there. They include a short USB-A to USB-C cable which must be used--it must be a rated cable to handle the image data for the CarPlay system.
Overall, a fantastic product that is compact, well-made, and easy to install. Occasionally, if you have not driven the car in a couple days, you may have to manually reconnect the bluetooth device name. The BT signal does not carry the CarPlay data--it uses a WiFi connection for that--but it is necessary for the system to have connection with the phone to engage the WiFi channel which is named the same as the BT connection. Absolutely happy!
One note: If you have a Garmin DashCam which uses WiFi for downloading/uploading images from the camera, you will loose connectivity between the app and your camera. The Garmin will still perform its intended functions without the App running (you will need a memory card in the dash cam). You will notice the App has either disconnected or forgotten your dash cam--attempting to reconnect while Carlinkit is running will become frustrating... and futile! ; ) It works even though the Carlinkit is using a WiFi signal channel on your phone.. The Carlinkit, in my estimation, is worth this hassle! If you have video you want to save to the cloud you have two options for the Dash cam: pop out the SD card or disconnect the Carlinkit from car so you can reconnect the dash cam to wife--then plug Carlinkit back into power source!
Great product! Works flawlessly with the touchscreen. Navigation through CarPlay is smooth. A well-designed device!
